QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Error 15102

The error could have be caused due to the following :

​

  • Invalid  Download Location  when Shared Download is turned on in Quickbooks

  • Running Quickbooks on a virtual environment in multi user mode.

  • Windows User Permission Issue.

Solution:

​

Invalid  Download Location  when Shared Download is turned on in Quickbooks

​

  • If you are in multi user mode , Go to File Menu in Quickbooks and  Click Single user mode.

  • Fix the path for the Download Location in Quickbooks

    • Press F2 to get the Product information page and navigate to File Location , make a note of the file path.

    • Under the Help Menu click on  Update QuickBooks.

    • Hit the Options tab and check the download path if it matches the one under file location.

      • If Shared Download is  Yes then the download path should matches the one under file location in product information window.

      • If Shared Download is  No then the download path should match the Quickbooks install location path.(Right Click on Quickbooks Desktop Icon and go to file location to check this path

    • Try Downloading the Qucikbooks Payroll Update.

Running Quickbooks on a virtual environment in multi user mode.

​

  • Make sure you have given full permission to the Quickbooks Folder.

  • Goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\Quickbooks ,

  • Right click on Qucikbooks folder Goto Security Tab> Edit> Add>Type Everyone;Users>Click ok.

  • Under Allow Column check all the boxes.

  • Hit Apply then OK.

  • Try download the Payroll Update again.(Employees>Get Payroll Update)
